Driven Pile Foundation System Design
This project necessitated the engineering of a robust driven pile foundation system to efficiently transmit structural loads from an 8-storey building to a competent bedrock stratum. Abdalla Shalaby, P.Eng., P.E., designed a driven H-pile foundation system meticulously engineered to withstand both axial compression and lateral wind loads. These features were paramount in safeguarding the structural integrity and stability of the building. Additionally, Abdalla led a group of junior field engineers who ensured that the foundation contractor adhered to the working drawings and specifications.
