Fort Point Channel Tunnel is a concrete immersed tube tunnel constructed as part of Boston’s Central Artery/Tunnel project. Tony Lancellotti, PE served as the Lead Engineer for the Type Study of various tunnel alternatives for this crossing including steel shell, concrete box, and bored tunnels. He also led the preliminary design of selected tunnel options. He was responsible for oversight of the preparation of technical reports, cost estimates, and recommendations for client approval, overseeing the final design developments by the section design consultant, project delivery, and technical and administrative management of the project.
